We need your support to continue our impact! Come volunteer with us or foster a pet to support our mission at Pet Network. Volunteer Foster Volunteer With Us Already a volunteer? Volunteer Login Pet Network Humane Society relies on the generosity and support of our dedicated volunteers, donors, and community partners. Your contribution helps to fulfill Pet Network's mission to save the lives of adoptable dogs and cats across the region. The animals we rescue from overcrowded shelters across Nevada, and beyond need much more than just food, shelter, and medical care. As a volunteer with us, you can show love, enrich, and exercise the animals during their stay with us - which not only benefits the animals but it feels darn good for you too! No special skills are needed, just compassion, patience, and the desire to learn. We provide all necessary training. Interested in volunteering to help the animals at Pet Network? A crucial piece in that goal is our foster program. Fosters temporarily house animals in their own homes and provide care to those animals. Being a foster parent is an extremely rewarding and important selfless act that enhances the lives of our shelter pets. Animals can go into foster care for many reasons, such as: Illness/recovery from an illness Reduce amount of time spent in the shelter Pregnant/nursing mothers and their litters Orphaned kittens and puppies Animals too young for spay/neuter Animals who need socialization Animals with behavior needs Senior animals Fostering allows you to have the companionship of an animal, without the lifelong commitment of a pet ownership-- an option great for seasonal residents! Additionally, Pet Network provides the majority of essentials for providing care to the animals. This includes items such as food, medication, litter/boxes, and more. We also provide veterinary care to all animals in our foster program. Getting started: Watch this video below for a quick introduction to our Foster Program. It's never been easier to help us save lives! Mountain Buddies is closed for the season. We can't wait to adventure with you next year. ! Widget Didn’t Load Check your internet and refresh this page. - Giving Tuesday | Pet Network
Become a Wish Granter At Pet Network Lake Tahoe, every shelter animal we care for—and every community pet who visits our hospital—depends on reliable electrical power. But here in Tahoe, winter storms are as much a part of life as the snow itself. When the lights go out, so does the equipment that provides critical, life-supporting care: ventilators, Intensive Care Units, surgical monitors– even the heating units themselves. Suddenly, what should be a safe, warm environment becomes uncertain. This Giving Tuesday, you can become a Wish Granter. Together, we’re raising funds for a generator that will ensure no animal’s care is ever interrupted by a power outage. We’ve got a $40,000 match on the table! Tito’s Handmade Vodka ($5,000), Bev & Doug Keil ($25,000) and Jody Gunderson and Earle Curtice ($10,000) have teamed up so every gift is matched until we reach $40,000. Twice the good. Twice the lives saved. Your gift means that through every storm, animals remain safe, warm, and cared for—and our community hospital never misses a beat.
